The Philadelphia Pickwick Club was founded on February 24th. 1981 by Michael Harwood ( The then owner of what was then known as "The Dickens Inn" and today is known as "Cavanaughs"), The Dickens Inn/Cavanaughs is in the area of Philadelphia known as Headhouse Square, part of the olde city of Philadelphia.
